“…He included everyone in his death so that everyone could also be included in his life, a resurrection life, a far better life than people ever lived on their own.” 2 Corinthians 5:14-15 MSG

We are in the season of Easter and it’s important that we are constantly reminded of what the death, burial and most importantly, the resurrection of Jesus Christ signifies. After the fall of man, it was evident that man couldn’t save himself. Man needed a savior and God had to come down in the flesh to save man from himself.

Jesus gave His life as a ransom to save us from sin. He died our death so that we may live. Our sins were placed on Him on the cross, where He said “It is Finished”. All Our sins were forgiven and the curse on humanity was lifted. God put all our sins on His Son, Jesus Christ and we were made right with God. On that same cross, our savior died and we died with Him

On the third day, our Savior rose and we rose with Him! Now, sin has lost its grip on us. We have been bought with a price, the precious blood of Christ.

He triumphed over death and restored our hope. His death and resurrection led to salvation, justification and reconciliation for all men (You and me). Because Jesus rose, there is no guilt in life, no fear in death. Death has been destroyed and we now have assurance of eternal life. He rose and won the victory for us We dance on an empty grave!
