FAITH OVER FEAR

Faith in God allows us to find peace, hope, and courage even amid fear. God is so much bigger, greater than any fear, be it big or small. He is always there to stand by our side; to help us face our fears and protect us in our weakest moments.

Fear arises with the threat of harm, physical, emotional, or psychological, real or imagined. Fear is a natural human response to different situations that we are put in. So it is not out of place for humans to have fear of uncertainties because, it is in our human nature to be afraid of things, but we can choose how we respond to our fear. Fear can sometimes mean the absence of safety.

Faith is trusting in God’s plan, timing and process. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. This is to say, having faith in God over fear means trusting in God’s plan and provision even in the face of uncertainty, difficulty or danger. Faith over fear involves acknowledging and facing our fears, but not allowing them to control and consume us.

Instead of focusing on our fears and the unknown, we choose to focus on God’s promises and character, believing that he is faithful and just not to leave us hanging or stranded in every circumstance or situation we find ourselves in.

Faith in God allows us to find peace, hope, and courage even amid fear. God is so much bigger, greater than any fear, be it big or small. He is always there to stand by our side; to help us face our fears and protect us in our weakest moments.

This is why scripture tells us in (2 Timothy 1:7) “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and love, and a sound mind.” We need to exercise our authority as believers and lay hold of our fear and not let fear control us because the Lord has not given us the spirit of fear. Having faith over fear has to do with having intimacy with God and following his leadership and direction. Faith over fear is embracing a life of trust and hope in God.

To walk by faith and not fear we need to first, spend time in prayer and meditation. This is one way of deepening our faith. Ask God for guidance and wisdom in your life and reflect on His promises.

To walk by faith and not fear, we need to surrender our all to God. Trusting God with our lives and letting go of our own will. True faith involves trusting that God’s plans are better than our own and that He is working all things together for our good.

Having faith over fear requires total obedience to God because faith requires action. As we seek to walk by faith, we must be willing to step out in obedience to what God is calling us to do. This may involve taking risks, facing challenges, or making sacrifices. Trust that God will provide the strength and resources you need to follow His lead.

In conclusion, Having Faith over fear is what we deliberately choose, walk out, and become disciplined in.
