In a world driven by surplus and the need for financial sufficiency, it is easy to fall into the trap of making money from the services offered. But what about the importance of human relationships, the satisfaction of helping others without expecting anything in return, the simple joy of giving or helping, and seeing the wonderful smile on the faces of those you helped. These and more are the foundation for a good life.

Lending a helping hand without a price tag is very attractive. It promotes honest communication, builds trust, and strengthens relationships with people. It allows us to step outside the transactional mindset and embrace the spirit of generosity, and moreso, God immensely blesses you for it! Think about it!

If the salvation you and I have could be bought today, how much would it cost you? If the air you breathe were sold today, only a few would survive. A person’s donation is indeed the  way for him, and most of the time this will make money from the work that comes from these donations, but it does not mean that your services will be paid, also learn to say “Don’t worry” about the reward for the work, I gave it freely” Jesus is our best example, he gave us eternal life and the fountain of water for free Revelation 12: 6. Acts 20:35

Think of the volunteer who dedicates his/her time to participate in a program, the seasoned writer who teaches interested people how to write, the real estate guru who trains youngsters in the nitty-gritty of real estate for free, or the friend who lends a listening ear during a difficult time and offers counsels capable of bailing the distressed fellow out, without any charge! These acts, though seemingly insignificant, have a ripple effect that can impact lives in profound ways.

Of course, we live in a world where financial security is paramount. But by not monetizing every single service, we create space for a more meaningful existence, one where value is measured not just in dollars and naira, but in the positive impact we make on others.

Conclusion

You must be reminded that the most valuable things in life are often the ones we give freely, without the expectation of anything in return. Find joy in serving, knowing that our actions, however small, can make a big difference in the lives of those around us and can draw many to know more about the religion you profess and the God you serve.  So the next time you are tempted to make money from a service, pause for a moment and consider the true value of offering and helping for free. You might be surprised at the rewards you’ll find across the finish line.
