A neglected or abused tongue can cause damage. Even intelligent people can make mistakes or miss opportunities due to poor communication. Tongue is a powerful tool for creating ideas, influencing opinions, causing conflict, or promoting peace. Slanders or insults can be hurtful and damage the relationship, but when used correctly, they can promote peace, strengthen connections, and heal wounds.
A well-controlled tongue supports harmony in marriage. It promotes harmony in communities. Tongue can change destiny, and sow blessings or curses. It is important to check this; leading with wisdom and speaking with grace and kindness.
Ways to examine the tongue:
- Acknowledge your negative and pessimistic disposition, as well as your relationship with others, and make a conscious effort with prayers to refine your tongue. A person who wants to cleanse the tongue should first cleanse the heart because out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.
- Appreciate the impact and influence of the tongue because it is powerful. You can create beautiful things with your tongue if you use it positively. Let your tongue be seasoned with gracious and kind words. Foundations are laid by planting words of blessings in your life and family. By the word of God, all things were created and we are created in the image and likeness of God so we can project blessings and speak positive things into our lives instead of negativity. Look at the mirror daily and say good things to yourself which will in turn shape your thoughts, and build confidence and encouragement.
- Separate yourself from friends with toxic tongues. Evil communication corrupts good manners. Friends with toxic tongues can reverse the efforts you’ve made in taming your tongue.
Conclusion
This shows that the tongue is more important than its physical function in terms of its role in human relations. Staying informed about your presentation strengthens good connections, unlocks opportunities, and leads to positive results. Just as the health of the tongue supports the functioning of the whole body, the use of tongue skills is essential for effective communication and personal, spiritual, and professional success.
