DO NOT BE WEARY IN WELL DOING.
Your desire is to create a better life for others that have been placed in your life to steward.
Are you someone who is a caregiver; who takes care of others?
Question is – how do you continue day in and day out?
I am sure you have days, weeks, months, and years when you are tired of giving, giving and giving with no reprieve in sight. Or you constantly share information and give sought after correctional guidance, only to have that information rejected or ignored.
I am sure you are asking yourself: how can I continue with what I am doing?
Your desire is to create a better life for others that have been placed in your life to steward.
It is important to keep your head up and know that you are making a difference in the lives of others. Continue to believe that better things are possible and happening right now, whether you can see it or not. Know this; what you do is not just for you but for the rest of the world. People need hope, encouragement and they need to know someone cares for them.
You have been put in the position to lead, guide and make a difference. We, as leaders, are called to make sacrifices no one else is willing to make. We sacrifice our time, families, money and so much more just to make a difference for someone else. Many times no one knows the hours spent in prayer, or thoughts concerning the people that are called to us; no one knows the pain of heartbreak when we see those that refuse to follow God’s given instructions. There are even sleepless nights as we are concerned about others and are praying and involved in late night counseling sessions.
For those who are wondering, you must understand that there is not a day that goes by when we – pastors, ministers, bosses, mothers, fathers, caregivers etc -forget about you or fail to think about the best about you. Yes, there are days when you do not hear or even see us but it doesn’t mean you are not close to our hearts.
For leaders, be encouraged. Galatians 6:9 says:
“…And let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season we shall reap, (to harvest, to reap; sowing and reaping); if we faint not.”
2 Thessalonians 3:13-15 says:
“…But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing. If a person chooses not to follow this epistle (letter), note that man, and have not company with him, that he may be ashamed. Count him not as an enemy, but admonish – (reprove gently); as a brother.”
1 Peter 4:16-19 says: “Yet if any man suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God on his behalf. For the time has come that judgment must begin at the house of God; and if it first begins us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.”
