CREATED FOR GOOD WORKS
God created us to be good, but the good things you do are only valid and life changes when you share them with Him.
After being harassed by her former friend, Lady Angela vows never to do good. “What did you do to me? Everything I have now is the result of my hard work. I don’t owe you anything. I also promised to testify for the prosecution. I won’t come! I’m too busy.” said Mrs. Cynthia.
It can be frustrating to hear these words from someone you helped in a time of need. So does this mean we shouldn’t do good? NO! We were created by a good God to do good, regardless of how people react to our good works.
Ephesians 2:10 teaches us that we were created by Jesus Christ to do good works. So it’s not a matter of whether you want to do good or not, it’s a matter of your life; a life filled with doing good and helping others.
When you do this well, you may not receive praise, you will not hear people call you “good”, and you will often face problems, the pressure of loss, hypocrisy, oppression, etc. But never relent in doing these good works.
Many people want to do good, but it is difficult for them. The good deeds they want to do are always in their hearts, but these good deeds can’t manifest physically. What’s the problem? I find that many people want to do this work on their own. They ignore God’s help and His work in preparing people for good works. If you are to do this good deed according to God’s standards, you must be prepared to be clean and holy by God. Otherwise, you can only receive praise, and appreciation from man, but not from God.
Conclusion
God created us to be good, but the good things you do are only valid and life changes when you share them with Him. The person whom God has prepared and purified still does good even if he is hurt. Have you ever been hurt by someone you were once kind to you? Can you forgive and live up to the good deeds you have to do?  You can bow your head and pray.
