The Super Seamstress Strikes Again
In a world of chaos and uncertainty, the only thing that is certain is that the love of God and human kindness cannot go unnoticed. During the shortage of medical equipment and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), Helping Hands Sewing School founder Dr. Tina Washington joined the fight against the Covid-19 Virus. She is a Gifted Seamstress, with a heart for humanity eager to help, she crafted some beautiful facemask to drop of to her local shelters and first responders. In times like these we can we certain that the world is filled with People of God serving on the frontline. Using the Gifts that God has given them, to shine the Light of God in such dark times. Helping Hands Sewing School, INC is a nonprofit organization that was formed to create a fun and educational place to learn to sew. Even though the original purpose of the organization was to be an avenue of resources to meet the need of giving youths in summer camp the opportunity to learn to sew, it has now evolved into a place for adults to learn as well.
Helping Hand Sewing School was founded by Dr. Tina Washington, the owner of Flipped Kouture. She has been sewing for over 30 years and has been teaching for more than 10 years. Tina’s desire to share the love and skill of sewing has been fueled by the request of many to learn.
